Our Story

Care2Nurse founders Trevor Kirk and Shraddha Bali spotted a need after recognising the huge demand for nurses in the UK. They also learned that many companies didn’t have the resources or immigration knowledge to attract medical professionals.

Trevor and Shraddha explored the possibility of establishing a practical nursing training programme to help students gain the levels required to help private nursing homes and mental health providers recruit from overseas, whilst also training them to get to the requisite Level 7 English qualification required to enable them to become registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council in the U.K.

To many overseas nurses, the private sector isn’t as appealing as the NHS, but Care2Nurse’s training programme overcomes any doubts and obstacles, ensuring that students can fulfil their dream of training as a nurse for the NHS whilst filling positions in the private sector.

 

After a concerted lobbying for the U.K. government to provide a visa route for carers and gaining agreement with the government’s Home Office that our overseas students would be of a senior level by training, Care2Nurse embarked on offering a comprehensive training programme that would allow overseas nurses to earn whilst they further developed their English language skills, working in a care role in the U.K.

 

Working with a long-established recruitment company, they found a large private employer, to offer places to the students who, through Care2Nurse, are now given cultural training and job interview preparation training, as well as English Language Training in India (and in the UK if required), and who can now choose different pathways to develop their career in nursing and caring.
